Best Next.js Templates for 2026: Free and Premium Picks
The best Next.js templates for 2026, sorted by use case: dashboards, SaaS, stores, LMS, real estate, restaurants and more, with free and premium picks.

The best Next.js templates for 2026 depend on what you are building, so this list is sorted by use case: admin dashboards, SaaS, landing pages, e-commerce, LMS, real estate, restaurant ordering, vacation rental booking, fitness coaching, and portfolio or company sites. It is for developers, founders and agencies who want a working base instead of an empty create-next-app, with free and premium picks side by side.
Updated October 2026. Aniq UI publishes this list, so each category opens with an Aniq UI template where one fits, followed by strong alternatives from Vercel, TailAdmin, Cruip, Makerkit, Medusa and others. Next.js 16 has been the current major version since October 2025, and each entry gives the Next.js version where its source states one. You can see every template we sell, with live demos, on the Aniq UI Next.js templates page.

Best Next.js admin dashboard templates
Dashboards are the most common reason people buy a Next.js template. For a deeper comparison, read our top 10 Next.js admin dashboard templates, or browse every Aniq UI Next.js admin dashboard template.
1. Aniq UI Dashboard with AI Assistant
Best for: SaaS admin panels, CRMs and internal tools that need users, roles and an AI assistant.

The Next.js dashboard template with AI assistant pairs a Next.js 16 admin panel with a NestJS backend. The overview puts KPI cards, tasks, a calendar and an activity map on one screen with drag-and-drop widgets, and the assistant answers from your own data with charts. For finance products, the Aniq UI Financial Dashboard (from $99) covers cards, transactions and analytics.
- English and Arabic with full RTL, light and dark themes
- AI assistant with DeepSeek, Google and OpenAI behind one model picker
- Users, admins and a role and permission matrix, with WebSocket updates
- 49 documented UI components with copyable code
Stack: Next.js 16, React 19, TypeScript, Tailwind CSS 4, TanStack Query, next-intl; NestJS, TypeORM, MySQL or SQLite.
Price: From $99 (dashboard or API alone), $149 for full stack.
Good to know: the $99 dashboard runs on bundled mock data. The NestJS API, which also runs the AI assistant, comes in the Backend API or Full Stack package.
2. TailAdmin
Best for: teams that want many ready dashboard pages on Tailwind CSS, starting free.

TailAdmin for Next.js has a free, MIT-licensed version with one dashboard, 30+ dashboard components and 50+ UI elements on Next.js 16 and Tailwind CSS v4. The Pro demo adds e-commerce, analytics, marketing, CRM, SaaS, logistics, AI, sales and finance dashboards, and the product page advertises 500+ components.
- Public demos for both versions
- Pro app pages for calendar, tasks, invoices, chat and email
- Dark mode, TypeScript and Figma files
Stack: Next.js 16, React 19, TypeScript, Tailwind CSS v4.
Price: Free, or Pro from $59 (October 2026).
Good to know: it is a UI template, so data, auth and APIs are yours to connect. Pro plans cap projects (3 on Starter, 10 on Business), and SaaS rights need the Extended plan.
3. Next.js Shadcn Dashboard Starter
Best for: a free shadcn/ui dashboard with auth, teams and billing already wired.

The Next.js Shadcn Dashboard Starter is an open-source admin starter "built with Next.js 16, shadcn/ui, Tailwind CSS, and TypeScript". It ships overview, products, users, Kanban, chat, workspaces, team and billing pages.
- Clerk for auth, organizations and billing
- TanStack tables, Recharts, TanStack Form with Zod
- MIT licence and 7.1k GitHub stars (October 2026)
Stack: Next.js 16, React 19, TypeScript, shadcn/ui, Tailwind CSS v4, Clerk.
Price: Free (MIT).
Good to know: everything account-related runs through Clerk, so plan time if you use another auth provider. The live demo asks you to sign in first.
Best Next.js SaaS templates
"SaaS template" means two things: the marketing site that sells the product, and the app starter with sign-in, billing and a database. Most products need both. The first pick is a marketing site; the other two are app starters.
4. Aniq UI SaaS Template
Best for: a SaaS marketing site with pricing, a blog and sign-in screens in English and Arabic.

The Next.js SaaS landing page template ships home, pricing, blog, contact, login, signup, legal and error pages, with dashboard mockups, pricing cards and a world map. The free Saaspro SaaS landing page template is a lighter Next.js 15 option with a hero, features, pricing and a contact form.
- English and Arabic with RTL through next-intl
- Recharts, React Hook Form and Zod
- Unlimited commercial projects, client work included
Stack: Next.js 16, React 19, TypeScript, Tailwind CSS 4, Framer Motion 12.
Price: $79.
Good to know: it is a marketing site with no backend, so the login and signup pages need an auth service you connect. Pair it with an app starter below or the Aniq UI dashboard above.
5. Next.js SaaS Starter
Best for: learning or prototyping a subscription app with Stripe and Postgres, for free.

The Next.js SaaS Starter, in the official nextjs GitHub organization, has a marketing page, a pricing page on Stripe Checkout, subscriptions through the Stripe Customer Portal, and a dashboard with CRUD on users and teams.
- Email and password auth with JWTs in cookies
- Owner and Member roles, activity logging

Good to know: the README calls it "intentionally minimal and to be used as a learning resource". Social login, email sending and a super admin are not in its feature list.
6. Makerkit

- Free Makerkit Lite on GitHub, without billing or teams
Stack: Next.js 16; Supabase, or Drizzle or Prisma with Better Auth; Stripe.
Price: From $299, one-time (October 2026).
Good to know: the Pro licence is for one developer, and the FAQ says client projects need the Teams licence ($599 in October 2026).

Stack: Next.js 16, React 19, TypeScript, Tailwind CSS 4, Framer Motion, Radix UI, next-intl.

Good to know: there is no blog or CMS in its feature list, so decide where your posts will live.

Price: Free (Simple Light), or $49 for Simple (October 2026).
Good to know: the page count is given as 11 in one place and 13 in another, so check the demo. Simple Light's licence forbids reselling the template itself.
9. Magic UI Startup Template
Best for: animated startup landing pages built with Tailwind CSS and Motion.

The Magic UI Startup template is "a complete landing page template to launch a new project or idea (frontend only)", with hero, social proof, pricing and call-to-action sections. It comes with Magic UI Pro, described as 8 production-ready templates and 50+ premium components.

Price: From $199 for Magic UI Pro, one-time (October 2026, shown as a limited-time offer).
Good to know: the Pro SaaS template lists Next.js 14 and Tailwind CSS 3.4, so check each template's versions before you buy.

Good to know: card payments run through Stripe and the AI through the API, with your own keys. Bought alone, the storefront and admin dashboard run on a mock API; real orders need the NestJS API.

Best for: Shopify merchants who want a fast, custom storefront for free.

Next.js Commerce is Vercel's "high-performance, server-rendered Next.js App Router ecommerce application", using Server Components, Server Actions and useOptimistic. Vercel maintains the Shopify version; BigCommerce, Medusa, Saleor, Shopware, Swell, Wix and others maintain their own.

Where to find more Next.js templates

- Official GitHub repositories. Check the licence, the last commit and the Next.js version in
package.jsonbefore you clone. - Marketplaces. A ThemeForest search for "nextjs" returned 1,212 results in October 2026, with first-page prices from $9 to $39. Read the update date, support terms and reviews on each item.
- Independent studios. Cruip, TailAdmin, Magic UI, Makerkit, thefrontkit and Aniq UI sell directly, which usually means clearer licences. Tailwind Plus closed sign-ups for new customers on September 9, 2026, according to the Tailwind CSS announcement.
For more tools and references, see our Next.js template developer resources.
How to choose a Next.js template in 2026
Start from the use case, not the look
An industry template already has the data model: nights and availability for booking, dishes and allergens for restaurants, enrollments for an LMS. A generic theme leaves that to you. Pick the category first, then compare designs inside it.
Decide whether you need a backend
Frontend templates (TailAdmin, Cruip, Magic UI, the LMS Kit, Homez, Chisfis, Delivo) start fast but ship mock data. Full-stack templates include an API, a database layer and auth. Some parts run on sample data and others require their API, so read that line before buying one part alone. Each of the Aniq UI full-stack Next.js templates says which parts need the NestJS API.
Check the Next.js version
Next.js 16 shipped on October 21, 2025. It made Turbopack the default bundler, replaced middleware.ts with proxy.ts and requires Node.js 20.9 or later, according to the Next.js 16 release post. A Next.js 15 template still works, but the upgrade is yours. Read package.json, not only the sales page; they can disagree.
Check languages and right-to-left support
Selling in Arabic, Hebrew or Persian needs real RTL layouts, not just translated strings. All ten Aniq UI premium templates ship English and Arabic with RTL; for others, open the demo in an RTL language first.
Read the licence for client work
MIT allows almost anything. TailAdmin limits projects per plan, Makerkit and thefrontkit need team or agency licences for client projects, Cruip allows client work under its terms, and Aniq UI's paid templates include client work in unlimited commercial projects.
Test the live demo like a user
Click through checkout, booking, sign-in, filters, the phone layout and dark mode. A demo that only shows a home page tells you little.
Count the services you will connect
Each service is a decision and often a bill: Clerk for auth, Shopify for commerce, Stripe or PayPal for payments, Gemini or OpenAI for AI, a meeting server for live classes.
Common mistakes when buying a Next.js template
Buying a landing page when you need an app
A SaaS landing page sells the product; it does not sign users in or bill them. Budget for an app starter or a full-stack template too.
Buying one part of a full-stack template alone
If the website or dashboard you buy requires its API, it will not show real data on its own. Read each variant's description.
Choosing on screenshots alone
Two templates can look alike while one runs Next.js 16 and Tailwind CSS 4 and the other Next.js 14 and Tailwind CSS 3. The older stack costs an upgrade before you start.
Planning to add RTL later
RTL touches every layout. If Arabic is likely, choose a template that ships with it.
Skipping the licence on client projects
A single-developer licence used across many client sites breaks most terms. Check project and seat limits first.
FAQ
What are the best free Next.js templates?
TailAdmin's free version and the Next.js Shadcn Dashboard Starter for dashboards, the Next.js SaaS Starter for SaaS apps, Next.js Commerce or the Medusa DTC Starter for stores, CourseLit for courses, Workout.cool for fitness, and Vercel's Portfolio Blog Starter for personal sites. Aniq UI also has four free templates: Saaspro, the 3D landing page, Mono and Nova.
What are the best premium Next.js templates?
For complete products with a backend, the Aniq UI full-stack templates (dashboard, e-commerce, LMS, real estate, restaurant, booking, fitness) include Next.js 16 frontends and a NestJS API. For a SaaS boilerplate, Makerkit. For the widest set of dashboard screens, TailAdmin Pro.
Where can I download Next.js templates safely?
From the official source: the vendor's site, the official GitHub repository, Vercel's gallery or a known marketplace listing. Avoid re-uploaded or "nulled" copies: no updates, no licence, and possibly changed code.
Are these templates updated for Next.js 16?
Most are. The ten Aniq UI premium templates and most picks here list Next.js 16. The four free Aniq UI templates, Simple Light, the Next.js SaaS Starter and Next.js Commerce are on 15, and the Medusa DTC Starter storefront on 15.5.
Can I use a Next.js template for client work?
Usually, but the licence decides. MIT allows it, Aniq UI's paid templates include it, and its free ones are free for commercial use. TailAdmin depends on the plan; Makerkit and thefrontkit need their team or agency licences.
What is the difference between a template and a starter kit?
A template gives you design and pages; a starter kit gives you plumbing such as auth, billing and a database. Full-stack templates combine designed industry screens with the API behind them.
Do I need a Next.js template with a backend?
Only if you store data or take payments and have no API yet. A marketing site or portfolio needs none; a store, LMS or booking site saves the most time with one.
Conclusion
Pick by use case. For an admin panel with auth and an AI assistant, the Aniq UI Dashboard with AI Assistant; for a free dashboard UI, TailAdmin or the Shadcn Dashboard Starter. For SaaS, pair a marketing template with the Next.js SaaS Starter or Makerkit. For Shopify, Next.js Commerce; for a store you host in English and Arabic, the Aniq UI E-Commerce Template. For an LMS, real estate, restaurant, booking or fitness product, the Aniq UI full-stack templates give you the website, the dashboard and the API, while the frontend kits suit teams that already have a backend.
If your projects span several categories, the Aniq UI Next.js Templates Bundle includes all ten premium templates in one purchase. Compare every template and open its live demo on the Aniq UI Next.js templates page.
