About Next.js Restaurant Template with Online Ordering and Kitchen Dashboard
Food Studio brings a restaurant's online ordering together in a single full-stack template. A Next.js website lets guests browse the menu and order for delivery or pickup, a Next.js dashboard lets the team run orders, the menu and its kitchens, and a NestJS API with TypeORM serves both, with roles and permissions, live notifications and a seeder that creates a complete demo restaurant.
On the website, visitors search and filter the menu, open a dish with its allergens and special instructions, build a combo from a main, a side and a drink, and pay through Stripe or PayPal on the provider's own page. Delivery is checked against each kitchen's postcodes, hours and minimum order, prices and totals are computed on the server, and customers with an account collect reward points, save dishes and addresses and follow each order from placed to delivered. In the dashboard, the team sees the day's sales and the kitchen queue, moves orders through their statuses, edits dishes in English and Arabic, arranges the home page section by section, and gives kitchen staff accounts that see only their own kitchen.
The AI studio drafts a dish's details from a prompt or photos and restyles dish photos with Google Gemini, and removes a photo's background on the server with a local model that needs no key. An AI assistant on Google Gemini answers questions about orders, sales and the menu from the restaurant's own data through MCP tools, with your own API key. Both frontends ship in English and Arabic with right to left layouts and light and dark themes, the API runs on SQLite or MySQL, and the seeder, the documentation and the environment examples start the three apps locally.
