Requirements
What to install before you run the dashboard, with Docker or without it.
With Docker
- Docker Desktop on macOS or Windows, or Docker Engine on Linux. The template has its own
Dockerfile; Compose is not needed. - Nothing else: the image brings Node.js 24 and Yarn.
Without Docker
- Node.js 20.9 or newer, the version Next.js 16 needs. Node.js 22 or 24 is recommended; the Docker image uses 24.
- Yarn 4, through Corepack. Run
corepack enableonce;package.jsonpins Yarn 4.12.0, soyarnpicks the right version by itself. - Node.js 25 and newer no longer include Corepack. On those, install it first with
npm install -g corepack. - No global packages, no database and no
.envfile.
An internet connection
- To install and build: the dependencies come from the npm registry, and the build downloads the Inter and Noto Sans Arabic fonts from Google Fonts. The app then serves them itself.
- To show the world map: the overview's map loads its country shapes from
cdn.jsdelivr.netin the browser. Everything else, the logo, the card artwork and the avatars, is a file in the download.
A free port
The dashboard answers on port 3030, with Docker and without it. If another program already uses it, you can pick another port when you start.
