VelraThe AI staging studio

The AI staging studio

Furnish a photo of an empty room with AI, compare it with the original, and approve it for the property's page on the website.

What the studio does

The staging studio, at /en/dashboard/studio, takes a photo of an empty room and returns the same room furnished, keeping the walls, the windows and the layout. The agency compares the two, saves the result to the property, and approves it for the website, where the property page shows a slider between the empty room and the furnished one, labelled as furnished with AI.

  1. Choose a property and a room photo

Pick one of the property's photos, or upload a clear, well-lit room photo.

  2. Choose the room type and the style

Living room, bedroom, dining area or study; modern warm, modern minimal or contemporary.

  3. Generate the preview

The page counts the seconds while the preview is made, and can cancel it. You can leave the page: a notification says when it is ready.

  4. Compare, save and approve

Drag the comparison, then save it to the property. Tick "Approve for public display" to show it on the website at the same time.

  • Each property shows at most one staged room on the website: approving a new one replaces the last.
  • Under Settings, Homepage, the agency picks the home whose approved staged room the website's home page shows.
  • The generation history keeps each admin's recent previews per property, so a good one can be reopened and saved later.

What it needs and what it costs

  • A Google Gemini key on the API, whichever provider the assistant uses: the studio generates its images with Google only, so an OpenAI or DeepSeek key does not run it. Without the Google key the studio says "Generation needs a Google Gemini key", generates nothing and bills nothing; the rest of the dashboard works.
  • Each preview is one image request billed by Google to that key, at Google's current price for the image model. The template itself charges nothing.
  • The key lives only in the API's environment; nothing secret is put in a frontend.
  • Nothing reaches the website by itself: a preview appears there only once it is saved and approved.

Who can do what

PermissionAllows
staging.viewOpening the studio and seeing the previews and saved pairs
staging.createGenerating previews and saving them to a property
staging.approveApproving a saved pair for the website

Both seeded roles, Super Admin and Agent, hold all three. Without staging.view the page says "No access to the staging studio".
