Requirements
What to install before you run the site, with Docker or without it.
With Docker
- Docker Desktop on macOS or Windows, or Docker Engine on Linux. The template has its own
Dockerfile; Compose is not needed. - An internet connection for the first build, which downloads the Node.js base image and the dependencies.
- Nothing else: the image brings Node.js and Yarn.
Without Docker
- Node.js 22 or newer. The Docker image uses Node.js 24.
- Yarn 4, through Corepack. Run
corepack enableonce;package.jsonpins the Yarn version, soyarnpicks the right one. If your Node.js has no Corepack, install it first withnpm install -g corepack. - No database and no global packages.
Port
The site listens on port 3030, with Docker and without. Make sure nothing else uses it, or start the site on another port.
Accounts and services
None. The site needs no key and no outside service. The contact form works without a back-end: it shows its success message and sends nothing until you connect your own API.
