Run the site locally

Get the site running on your computer with two Docker commands.

Before you start: install and open Docker Desktop, or Docker Engine on Linux. Nothing else is needed.

View requirements
  1. Download the template

Open the template's page on aniq-ui.com and press Get Free. Enter your email and your name, then press Claim. The template is added to My templates in your dashboard, where you download the ZIP.

Expected result: A file named like landing-page-template-1-main-….zip is in your downloads.

  2. Unzip and open the folder

Extract the ZIP and open a terminal in the landing-page-template-1 folder. On Windows, extract it in File Explorer, then open a terminal in the folder.

    Terminal
    unzip landing-page-template-1-*.zip
    cd landing-page-template-1

Expected result: The folder lists Dockerfile, package.json, messages, public and src.

  3. Build the image

This installs the dependencies and makes a production build inside Docker. Nothing has to be configured first. The first build takes a few minutes; later builds reuse what did not change.

    Terminalin landing-page-template-1
    docker build -t agency-portfolio .

Expected result: The build ends without an error and the image is named agency-portfolio.

  4. Start the site

Run the image. The site listens on port 3030.

    Terminalin landing-page-template-1
    docker run -p 3030:3030 agency-portfolio

A port is already in use?

If Docker answers port is already allocated or address already in use, another program uses port 3030. Stop it, or change the number on the left of -p, for example docker run -p 3041:3030 agency-portfolio, and open localhost:3041Local instead.

A port is already in use

Expected result: localhost:3030Local opens the page. /en is the English page and /ar the Arabic one, right to left.

What the page looks like once it runs.

Stop and start again

Press Ctrl+C in the terminal to stop the site. If the terminal does not come back, find the container from another terminal and stop it with its ID:

Terminal
docker ps
docker stop <container-id>

Start it again with the same docker run command: the image is already built.

Changed a file?

The image holds a copy of the code from the moment it was built. After you change a text, an image or the code, run docker build -t agency-portfolio . again before docker run.
