AI features
The dashboard assistant, the AI product studio, the storefront's fitting room and background removal: what each does, what it needs and who pays for it.

What the AI features do
| Feature | Where | What it does | What it needs |
|---|---|---|---|
| AI assistant | Admin dashboard, its own page | Answers questions about the shop and acts on it: finds orders and customers, edits products and stock, picks homepage products, draws sales charts. Every action is checked against the signed-in admin's permissions. | A Google AI (Gemini) key |
| AI product studio | Admin dashboard, the product form | Two modes. Assistant writes the product details from its photos, reworks a photo from an instruction and photographs the product on a model. Animate turns a photo into a short product video. | A Gemini key for the Assistant mode; a Higgsfield key and secret for Animate; a media bucket |
| Fitting room | Storefront, every product | Shows a shopper the product worn by a model, or on their own photo. | A Gemini key and a media bucket |
| Background removal | Admin dashboard, the product form | The "Remove background" button cuts a product photo out of its background; the studio assistant can do it too. | A model file on your server and a media bucket; no key |
- Every feature reports itself off until what it needs is set, and the rest of the shop works without them.
- Each call to Google or Higgsfield is billed to the key it runs on, at that provider's prices. Background removal runs on your own server and costs nothing per image.
- Keys live only in the API's
back-end/.env. Nothing secret is ever put in a frontend.
Without keys, and on the sample store
- The assistant's page says "No AI model is connected".
- The product form works and saves as usual; the studio's tools say they are not connected.
- The storefront shows no fitting room button, and the studio shows no "Remove background" button.
- On the frontends' sample stores, with no API, the assistant and the studio are unavailable, and the fitting room shows the product's own photo instead of a drawn look.
